ChromeCars - Development of Digital Twins
Task
Development of digital twins of famous movie cars and provision for immersive digital presentation.
Implementation
ChromeCars includes the world's largest collection of movie cars, featuring iconic vehicles like the original 1967 Ford Mustang "Eleanor" from the movie Gone in 60 Seconds, various Fast & Furious vehicles, and many other movie stars. As part of the collaboration, highly detailed digital twins were created for four vehicles from the collection. OVRLAY's services included conceptual guidance, retopology, modeling, and texturing to develop high-resolution digital twins based on data from an industrial hand scanner, as well as deployment in a gaming engine for immersive presentation of the digital copies using streaming technology. The goal of this digitization initiative is to offer fans and customers new immersive ways to experience movie cars.
